The Charleston Friends of the Library is part of a coalition of libraries and library supporting organizations joining forces to raise funds through a Library Giving Day campaign. This one-day online fundraising event reminds us that libraries serve as a cornerstone for our communities. In addition to well-loved books, many libraries, including Charleston County Public Library (CCPL), offer innovative programs that promote lifelong learning, connect patrons to technology, and advance knowledge.
Join CFOL during Library Giving Day and support the following programs offered by CCPL:
- Programs and Events
- Annual Summer Reading Program
- Movies and Special Performances
- Author Book Signings
- Readings and Lectures
- New Technology
- Continuing Education for Library Staff
- And much more
Since our volunteer organization began in 1982, our mission has been to support and advocate for the Charleston County Public Library. Over the years we have grown our membership and are now able to help the library fund over 6,000 programs, classes, and events each year. This is made possible because of thoughtful contributions from library lovers like you.
